I started this painting a year ago and had to put my paintbrushes aside to deal with a health crisis. The Bartlett Twins has hung on my wall begging to be finished. In the back of my mind, I remembered the areas that I wanted to work on, but now they don't seem to be important. I still love the reflections of the pears on the dark surface which inspired me to paint it in the first place. I just decided to sign the painting and be done with it. If I learned anything from illness it was to just let things go and move on.
